2019 Pacificon
For those who haven't been to one before, like me, the ARRL and Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club put on this Pacificon event each year in San Ramon. It is a 3 day event Oct 18, 19, 20, and seems to have a lot of interesting forums, an antenna day, swap meet, one day licensing classes and testing (Ted), a banquet, vendors, etc. I was wondering if any of the 2MeterCrew were interested in attending. I imagine you can attend one day or the whole event. It looks like the Saturday / Sunday events are $25 (includes both days) and the Friday antenna forum is an additional $20, Saturday night banquet is $59. You can access all the info here. It might be cool if we know who is going and can meet up and attend some of the events together. Let me know who might be interested and we will see what we can set up.

Yep I have gone every year for the past several years. I generally only go to the Swap Meet on Sunday morning and try to get there when they open (best selection) and then I do a "walk-thru" of the Vendor exhibits to look over the gear and fingerbang equipment in person. I also take a wad of $20s and try to leave Pacificon with my wad intact. Sometimes I do, sometimes I do not!

Well sir, like yourself, I also received E-MAIL notification from Mrs. Debbie Deeble (Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club) describing the particulars about this years upcoming Pacificon Convention. At the present time, I do not know if I will be attending this years Pacificon Convention. Given the present state of my physical health, I can't even get to the monthly meetings of the M.D.A.R.C. organization. Now you know.

Well from the anti-net discussion it sounded like a few folks were interested in getting together for breakfast on Sunday Oct. 20th and then going to the Pacificon swap meet and walking through the vendor booths. I will scout the area and pick out somewhere for breakfast, so post up here if you are thinking about attending and I will update this post when we get closer to the event.

Well sir, thank you very much for this update concerning the potential participation of a few of the ANTI-NET folks at the Pacificon Convention on Sunday October 20th. Hopefully, the state of my personal health will allow old yours truly to participate with this activity.
